This private reference site operates independently and has no government affiliation. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, conducts official checks, or files documents for a user.

Its function is to identify custodians of Columbia County material, including the Sheriff, criminal courts, Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository, and Pennsylvania State Police Megan's Law Public Website, while also linking to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the website, a user agrees not to:

• Use bots, scrapers, or another automated tool against the pages
• Violate a federal, Pennsylvania, or local law through use of the website
• Stalk, threaten, or harass a person with information obtained here
• Rely on site content for an employment, housing, credit, or insurance decision
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
• Interfere with performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information reached here or through a linked service may be used for harassment, stalking, threats, intimidation, or discrimination. Pennsylvania law and warnings on the Pennsylvania State Police Megan's Law Public Website restrict misuse of registry data and allow legal consequences for retaliation or abuse. The registry serves lawful community awareness, never vigilantism.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Columbia County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produces no background check, credit report, or other consumer report. Its advertising partners do not offer services here for evaluating applicants, insurance risk, or credit. Information from the website or a linked tool must not be used to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A formal check for a legally permissible purpose must come from the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository or a provider that complies with the FCRA.
